i <3 saturday mornings
reasons why…
1. waking up, rolling over, and going back to sleep
2. waking up again, rolling over, and going back to sleep again
3. watching ki and woody play cat and mouse under the covers
(ki, or keoki, is my cat, and woody is the roomie’s dahchsund)
4. not having to turn on any lights because the sun is up
5. the smell of french vanilla coffee
6. sitting at my kitchen table, and looking out the window
(just a couple more months before i can use my patio again, yay!)
7. reading/surfing online for as long as i want
in my opinion, saturday mornings (and sunday mornings) should come more often than twice a week.
on another note…
i love getting gifts for other people. in the past i have done my best to try and remember all my friends birthdays, and at least get them/mail them a card or get them a little something. christmas has been the same. i always try and do christmas cards, with a little candy cane or something cute attached. for some reason, this year i have been way off my game. friends bdays have come and gone, and not a peep from me. no christmas cards either (but i did pick up a bunch in the post-christmas clearance sales, so i’m bound and determined to be more successful next year).
and now valentines day is here. two of my friends (s.r., my girlfriend from purdue, and the roomie) have each gotten me very cute, and thoughtful gifts. s.r. got me a picture frame with a picture in it of her and i and another one of our girlfriends, m.c. that was taken of us while we were in vegas, tons of candy, and a cute, hand made card. the roomie also got me a cute picture frame with a photo of us that was taken at a cubs game, and a very cute handmade valentine. i feel very flattered to have received such thoughtful gifts, but i can’t help to also feel a little bit guilty for not having thought to show my appreciation of their friendship in that way.
however, i do believe that my friends know i love them, and i would do anything for them. i should accept these gifts, and be thankful that i’ve got friends like that too, that would do anything for me.
the next holiday is st. patrick’s day, so maybe i’ll get everyone st. patrick’s day cards. or maybe some green beer. oh the possibilities…

oh my dearest sista, i dont expect anything from ya, i was just thinking about you. don’t feel guilty. but for the record i do like green beer. hahaha
hope the babysitting went well. maybe i will see you again when i have my life back.
I just added you as a friend on 20s. And I’m going to add you to my bloglist.
I love Saturdays and Sundays. Although they are a bit tougher here in Edinburgh away from friends and family. But I get to wander round town the whole day (which makes me happy again).
